1. It is your responsibility to ensure we have been provided with the correct shipping details. Happy Cow is not responsible for any extra charges involved when we are provided with the wrong shipping details. Please check your details carefully prior to checking out.
2. Happy Cow ships to many different countries and thus we cannot be aware of the customs charges or duty applicable in each country. Any charges incurred once your purchase has left Australia are your responsibility. Happy Cow recommends investigating what (if any) custom charges are applicable to your purchase, prior to placing your order.
3. Collection of Information: We collect personally identifiable information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by our visitors. The information you provide is used to fulfill you specific request. By providing information to Happy Cow we assume you are interested in offerings from Happy Cow, thus your email address may automatically be added to our mailing list. You are free to unsubscribe from the mailing list at anytime.
4. Cookie/Tracking Technology: The Site may use cookie and tracking technology depending on the features offered. Cookie and tracking technology are useful for gathering information such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to the Site, and understanding how visitors use the Site. Cookies can also help customize the Site for visitors. We may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. he information is not provided to these (or any) companies for marketing purposes. When making a purchase through Happy Cow, your IP address is stored in case of fraud.
6. Returns & Exchanges of 'faulty items': An item is considered to be faulty if it is received by the customer with a physical defect (ie: faulty zip, significant tear in the leather or non-usable button studs). We reserve the right to determine what is and is not considered faulty. If a faulty item does escape our strict quality-control process and is shipped to you, we will bear the costs in having it returned to us and sending you out a replacement item. The faulty item must be returned via standard air mail (within 30 days from time of payment) in order to qualify. A refund for return shipping is available in some cases up to a value of $15 AUD.
7. Conditions in which an exchange will be permitted: If you would like to exchange your item and it is not faulty (according to the definition provided above), you will need to send the item back to our warehouse in Australia at your expense. It costs $20 (including handling charges) for us to resend the item to you but we will only charge you a $10 reshipping fee (free within Australia). The item must be returned in original condition and packaging (within 30 days from time of payment) for an exchange to be granted.
8. Conditions in which a refund will be provided: We are happy to provide a refund if you change your mind. Refunds requested prior to your item being shipped will be granted in full. Refunds requested after your item has been shipped (usually 24 hours) will be granted less shipping and handling once the item is received by us (in original condition and packaging) within 30 days from time of payment. Refunds will not be provided under any circumstances for items purchased more than 60 days prior.
9. Currency conversion rates: Happy Cow is located in Australia and thus prices are listed in Australian dollars. Currency conversion rates are given as estimates only. When your order is processed, it is done so in Australian dollars in accordance with Australian law. We accept Mastercard, Visa Card, Paypal and Money Orders. If your payment is continually rejected, it is often due to international restrictions on credit card processing implemented by your bank. If this occurs we recommend selecting the Paypal payment method instead. If further problems persist please contact us and we will have the issue resolved for you immediately.
10. Promotions: All promotions are subject to the Happy Cow terms and conditions. Happy Cow reserves the right to withdraw offers without notice. All decisions/judgements by Happy Cow are final.
11. Colours: Images provided on the Happy Cow website are for illustrative purposes only. Happy Cow uses recycled raw materials and as such color variations can occur. We will provide you with the closest possible match to the item pictured but do not any way guarantee that the item you purchased will be an exact replica.
12. Happy Cow products are handcrafted and thus like any other garment, are subject to wear and tear. The stress placed on the bags from carrying your valuables can sometimes cause threads to unravel. Take care of your purchase and have loose threads repaired as soon as possible. We cannot accept returns for items that are not in original condition and assume that you understand that these items must be looked after in order to provide long-term enjoyment.
13. Shipping rates on multiple items are calculated assuming all items are shipped together. If one item is not in stock then you have the option of either waiting till both items are available or paying an extra fee to have the items sent separately.
14. By clicking ‘accept’ you agree to absolve Happy Cow, its directors and parent company of all responsibility and liability for any damage to property or equipment, both private and commercial. You further agree to absolve Happy Cow, its directors and its parent company of any responsibility for injury, death or financial loss that occurs in the use, acquisition or resale of Happy Cow products, packaging, merchandise and paraphernalia.
15. Each Happy Cow item undergoes a number of physical inspections prior to being dispatched and is only dispatched if it exceeds safety requirements. Thus the responsibility lies with you to ensure that packaging and merchandise are kept away from children and that items are regularly checked to ensure loose components are refitted and sharp edges are removed.
16. Conversion Rates: For your convenience we list prices in a whole range of currencies. Our products are actually in Australian dollars and conversion rates are updated hourly by Webservicex. The rate displayed will most likely not be the exact same rate your bank charges you, for live rates contact your bank or financial institution. If you are concerned about any potential discrepancy, you can pay in your own currency using paypal.

Terms & Conditions relating to exchange/refunds for wholesale customers
These terms and conditions were put in place in order to avoid any confusion and help Happy Cow to maintain our low wholesale prices. As we wholesale to customers all over the world, we need to have these rules in place or increase our prices dramatically. We have tried to make the rules as fair as possible. Please read them carefully prior to placing your order as they will be strictly enforced.
11. Defective items: An item is considered defective if it has a manufacturing fault, such as; broken zip, faulty press-stud or unfinished stitching. Naturally occurring marks on the leather itself do not constitute manufacturing faults. A slight color variation to one pictured also does not constitute a manufacturing fault.
12. If an item is received defective: If one (or more) items in your order were received defective you must notify us (via email) within 5 business days of receiving your order. Photographic proof of item must be provided. If the item is deemed to be faulty we will send you a replacement at no cost to you. If we need the item to be returned to us we will arrange it at our own expense.
13. If an item is damaged after purchased by customer: The customer must contact you to arrange a mutually acceptable solution. We cannot deal with your customers directly. It is your responsibility to ensure any manufacturing defaults are recognised before the customer purchases the item. We cannot be held responsible for the way in which your customers treat their purchase. Nor can we arrange exchanges/returns with the customer directly when we have only received the wholesale price for the item.
14. Exchange items that did not sell: You are permitted to return any items that did not sell as long as the return is made within 90 days of invoice date and the item(s) is in original condition. The amount you paid for the item(s) will be provided to you as a store credit. No credit for shipping is provided and the cost of return shipping is your responsibility. We reserve the right to refuse returns for items that are no longer part of our range.
15. Refunds: Refunds are only permitted if the item is returned within 30 days from invoice date, in original condition. The cost of returning shipping (and the original shipping costs) are not refundable.
